Brewing your Bit

wanwanteapot.jpg

Cats/Dogs; Agnetha/Frida; Coffee/Tea (you can argue about which is which) both brews are doing good things next month

Fiori Coffee is running two Fairtrade tastings as part of Fair Trade Fortnight which runs from the 28th April to the 13th May. They're inviting the public to our factory in West Perth to learn a little bit about the roasting process and to taste 4 Fairtrade coffees. "Everyone gets a bag of coffee to take home. It is lots of fun, particularly as the caffeine takes hold. The Tasting sessions run for two hours and cost $30. Every dollar goes to an organisation called Pekerti, who are building village houses for Fairtrade workers who lost their homes last year in the earthquake in Indonesia."

The date is 5th May and there are two sessions, one at 10am and the second at 2pm. Places are limited so bookings are essential.

The Cancer Council of WA are part of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. Since 1994, Morning tea's across Australia have been raising funds that have contributed to vital cancer research and essential support services. Organise a morning tea at work, home, or school or drop in on a public morning tea - every cup helps. $5 provides a newly diagnosed cancer patient with important support and information resources to help them through their cancer journey. $100 can go towards the cost of funding ground-breaking research into the causes of cancer and into new and improved treatments.

Thursday May 24th - visit the official site for more information and registration.
