Feast Perth 2007

TonySmith.jpg

Tony Smith of Plantagenet Wines and Bouverie in Mt Barker (featured in this Autumn's Spice), joined David Coomer of Star Anise, Jamie Kronborg of Big Island, and Richard Muirhead of Tourism WA on the Spice hosted discussion panel on Seasonal and Regional: Trading on WA's Differences. They followed chef and author Jude Blereau; Josh Byrne of Gardening Australia, Annie Dunn of Absolutely Organic and Dr Richard Bell of the School of Biological & Environmental Sciences, Murdoch University discussing Examining Organics: The Future of Food?. Cheers to Spice writer (amongst other things) MC Verity James for some fabulous facilitating and all those who braved the heat to listen and participate. More cheers to fellow Spice writer (amongst other things) Margaret Johnson for facing off with Russell Wolfe in the cook-off

Many thanks also to everyone who dropped in on the Spice stall to pick up a magazine or six, sign up for a subscription and /or just to say nice things to us*. Great to see the festival coming along magnificently and doing justice to what's out there in food and wine in Western Australia. Looking forward to next year. If you couldn't make it here's what you missed.

*and to the person who bought the set but said they'd come back to pick up the missing Spring, contact us and we'll send one out.
